Night 2 done

And in the books...here we go to night 3! 
Update....hair's are cut...stilll have a ton. Not sure if I will go shorter on Friday when I go and get the final, final all taken care of.  Yes, I have been running around with a half done cut. Not really an issue, as I can put it up in a pony tail and just roll with it.

The Clip Down Starts

So in just over 12 hours, I am going to be a foot shorter :-). I am so greatful to be able to do this for the 2nd time.  I am blessed from both sides of the gene pool actually. For those of you that are lucky enough to be at GNO this evening, my Grams is going to be there...which is so special to me. She has been such an awesome supporter, in all of my crazy adventures.
And for everyone else, I believe that Ms. Kristen is going to video it, so I will be able to post somewhere at some time.

Monday...just one more day to Tuesday

And OMG...Wow, it is here already. Just to think that a few short months ago I suggested that I do this crazy thing at the Celebrate Wellness Event! Time sure as shooting fly's...

Here we go..

Very excited...going to do this blog thing for the first time...OMG, and for a really awesome and amazing reason.
So those that know me or have known me in the past know I have tons of hair. This year I'm going to donate for a 2nd time to Locks Of Love. I did it the first time in 2001, when I finally got my BA. Yeah that was a huge weight off my neck...literally.
This time around, I'm doing it in conjunction with an event that I have been a part of for several years. I have been a volunteer with The Wellness Community, and have done lots of crazy things...such as running in 1/2 Marathons...yeah...me...running...well go figure, I LOVE it.  Back to  TWC and GNO:
TWC has been around for years, and the chapter I have been volunteering with is in Redondo Beach CA.  They provide services free of charge to individuals and family members who have been told they have cancer...any cancer, and it is FREE.  This is a community that has reached out and touched the lives of so many for so long, with the this in mind: education, support and hope, and with active participation in ones recovery....the sky is the limit. So GNO (Girls Night Out) is in its 8th year, and this is the 3rd year of three nights in a row. I mean really, 3 nights of laughter and just over all fun at the Comedy Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. Of which we would not be able to do w/out the support of the many organizations that continue to support us...
It was at our summer Celebrate Wellness Event (1st Sunday after July 4th) that the light bulb went off in my head: Why not do something crazy...like cut my hair in front of lots of women, who have been and are super supports of TWC...and what better place to do it then GNO. Best part is, I do not have hair cut issues!
So starting this Friday...I'm going to be updating and posting through this next week to let everyone know what is going on and how it is going....
